Yanni Hufnagel is a coach whose love for basketball started at an early age. While growing up as a kid in Scarsdale, New York, he was fond of reading coaching books. He went a step further by working for the town’s public television by commentating games of the local teams. His broadcasting partner was aware of Yanni Hufnagel’s potential of being a sports announcer or a coach.

He is an alumnus of the Cornell University where he graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Industrial and Labor Relations. At the University he was a basketball manager, and as an intern, he got a chance to work with New Jersey Nets. After graduation, Yanni Hufnagel worked as a graduate assistant coach at the University of Oklahoma. Jeff Capel ‘s (his lead coach in Oklahoma) recommendation earned him a position as a volunteer assistant coach at Harvard. In his four years tenure at Harvard, he helped build great teams and was voted as an assistant coach who is bound to be successful in the basketball arena.

The well-known basketball players’ recruiter has worked in Vanderbilt Commodores and California Golden Bears as a Men’s basketball assistant. At Nevada Wolf Pack he works with Eric Musselman as an assistant men basketball coach. The enthusiastic and energetic coach led Nevada in winning different tournaments. Musselman speaks of his character and reputation in hiring as unbeatable and the best in the country. He holds a Master’s degree in Adult Higher Education with an Emphasis on Intercollegiate Athletic Administration. Yanni Hufnagel has earned a reputation in basketball coaching, and the bosses he has worked with testifies of his ability to connect with players and recruiting excellent and promising players.
